The main purpose of this blog is to share information about how to prepare for events beyond our control; events such as unemployment, financial hardship, natural disasters, man-made disasters, and any other circumstance that life might throw our way.
Preppers are basically people that store extra food, water and supplies in case an emergency or hardship arises. According to Wikipedia, "A prepper is an individual or group that prepares or makes preparations in advance of, or prior to, any change in normal circumstances".
Some people lump preppers into the same category as hard-core survivalists, and in some cases, that may be true. As for me, I just want to make sure that I can take care of my family if "any change in normal circumstances" occurs.
I first began researching and thinking about all of this a few years ago when the economy started to take a nose dive. I began to wonder how long I would be able to take care of my family if I lost my job. We also had a series of natural disasters that left people without electricity and water for several days.
As a father and a husband, taking care of my family is my sacred duty and first priority. In this blog, I will share with you what I already know about prepping and any new information that I discover. I hope you find this information useful.
